In June 2025, Bowman Hal invites you to an intimate visit to William Mackinnon’s studio in Ibiza, an opportunity to witness the artist’s creative world firsthand and explore the ideas and materials that shape his practice, guided by the artist himself.
Mackinnon’s art transforms the ordinary into evocative landscapes of emotion and memory. Endless roads, twilight shadows, and weathered coastlines emerge in his studio, crafted layer by layer with an experimental approach to materials: acrylics, oils, industrial adhesives, and textures that shimmer, crack, or dissolve into one another.
Visitors will gain insight into how Mackinnon captures life’s complexities, where simple elements like a road line or beam of light become metaphors for movement, belonging, and time. This visit offers a rare glimpse into his artistic vision and a chance to see the everyday through his unique perspective.
